Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) / Pachymetry

OCT is a non invasive high resolution cross sectional imaging test. OCT uses light waves to take cross section pictures of your eye.

With OCT , your eye doctor can see each of the eye layers distinctively. The OCT allows to map and measure thickness of each layer which is helpful in diagnosis of Glaucoma , Macular Pathology and other Retinal disorders such as Diabetic retinopathy ,and Retinal vascular disorders.

OCT is also used for quantitative and qualitative information of the Anterior segment structures eg thickness of Cornea , Post LASIK ectasia, Glaucoma evaluation , IOL power calculation as well as post trauma evaluation
